What made you try Metabolic Balance?
I have suffered with weight and hormone problems since a teenager. Trying of course all the diets out there and nothing ever worked.
How did you feel about working with Kat Boyd and Metabolic Balance?
I was recommended Kat and Metabolic Balance by a friend and of course I was apprehensive at first. However, Kat has such an amazing way in making you feel so comfortable about your situation and journey you are going to embark on with Metabolic balance. I had many questions at the beginning and I was supported and still am all the time. She makes me feel proud of myself and even though at times, I couldn't give my all, she understood and was there for me when I wanted to refocus.
How did you find the programme?
I have been shocked with my weight loss over the past 4 months as well as my body fat loss and other stats I can check via my app. I just would never have believed this was possible.
What has been the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance?
Apart from the weight loss what I have gained is greater concentration levels, I am so alert. sleeping better, and I no longer suffer from period cramps and sweats the week before my period.

What made you try Metabolic Balance?
I looked at some Christmas photos of myself and I was totally shocked how overweight I had become. At that time I weighed around 110 kg and I was generally dissatisfied with everything in my life.
How did you feel before Metabolic Balance?
I had tried everything to lose weight. Literally everything! But in the end the yo-yo effect always kicked in and I was really frustrated.
Why Metabolic Balance?
Due to the structure and the supervision. Suddenly everything became easy. I lost 35 kg really quickly and from that moment on, I became more confident. First, I looked for a better job and then I moved in with my boyfriend.
How did you find the programme?
I was often asked how I was able to lose weight, while my boyfriend was still eating 'normally'. People thought this would distract me. But it didn't at all! I honestly find everything on the plan so delicious that it really doesn't bother me if someone next to me eats a pizza or a burger.
What is the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance?
I feel happy and have never felt so well.
When I look at my before and after pictures, I find it incredible to think that used to be me.

What made you try Metabolic Balance?
Until the age of 25, I was able to eat and drink everything I wanted. I kept my weight relatively constant, between 85-90 kg. Then my job situation changed. I spent a lot of time in the car traveling, ate irregular meals and didn't have any time for sport. I started to gain between 5 and 7 kg a year. All attempts to lose weight in the long term failed.
How did you feel before Metabolic Balance?
My health was extremely worrying. I had severe hypertension, high sugar blood levels, depression, extreme bowel problems and insomnia. I looked like a Sumo-wrestler, just without the athletic ability.
Why Metabolic Balance?
I had tried all kinds of diets from A–Z. Through an acquaintance, I found out about Metabolic Balance. The blood test results, showed catastrophic results: 90% out of all my blood values were out of range. 90 percent!
How did you find the programme?
I started with the Metabolic Balance programme with a weight of 157 kg. After just 5 months I weighed an incredible 102 kg. This was unbelievable! Despite my professional workload, I kept on losing weight and all of my blood values were soon back on track.
What is the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance?
Nearly two years after starting with Metabolic Balance programme, I was able to take part in a half marathon. I have also participated in several triathlons and I have run countless kilometers in preparation.
Today I weigh around 93 kg and have sensational blood values. I am still able to maintain my weight without difficulty, even though I am not keeping 100% to my plan. I just try to stick to most of the 8 principles.

What made you try Metabolic Balance?
I began when I kept putting on weight. At the end of 2011, I had acid reflux after each meal. My family doctor explained that, due to my weight, the acid in my stomach was being forced upwards and prescribed me medication against it. Straight after the appointment, I still couldn't believe that at 26, I needed to take medicine for a condition caused by being overweight. To this day, I have not used the prescription and decided instead to to change my life. I became aware of Metabolic Balance through my colleague.
How did you feel before Metabolic Balance?
Psychologically, I felt terrible. I became withdrawn and had lost my positive attitude towards life. This negative energy spread all around me. As I was already suffering from the consequences of being overweight. I knew it was time to change. On top of it all, I now also had high blood pressure.
Why Metabolic Balance?
The thing that convinced me was the supervised nutrition plan. I had been looking for a specific plan to tell me how to eat properly for years, as well as a coach like Kat to support me through it. I was convinced that if you want to lose a lot of weight, you cannot do it alone. Or at least I couldn't do it on my own. Although MB seemed quite expensive at first, it is a lifetime investment that more than pays for itself. My conscience also helped me through. When I thought about how much I had spent, I knew that I had to see it through.
How did you find the programme?
I had to study the food list and work out where to find all the foods. Thankfully I got used to it quickly. Some people around me didn't understand why I was doing it, but there were also many who offered positive words of support. I pushed through Phase 1 and 2. In Phase 3, I had a few setbacks, but now I just follow the basic principles of Metabolic Balance and still eat the foods from my plan. I felt the success immediately, and after 2 months I had already lost my first 10 kg. The rest of the weight just carried on dropping off.
What is the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance?
The biggest change for me was not gaining the weight back again! Before, I just used to watch the scales going up, no matter what I ate. Even after a holiday, I can still manage to maintain my weight. This is my biggest success. I also just want to move around more and try out different sports. When you eat like this you have a yearning to be more active.

What made you try Metabolic Balance?
At the end of November 2010 I had a stroke in my right arm. More specifically, an arterial occlusion. I was terrified and needed an emergency operation! At the time, I weighed 80 kg and at 1.68 m, was wearing a dress size of 14-16. I was also a smoker.
How did you feel before Metabolic Balance?
I had neurodermatitis and up until my stroke was not able to sleep properly. That was almost unbearable. I was on sick leave 4-5 times a year, so my life wasn't really enjoyable. Also, I had never really been slim.
Why Metabolic Balance?
My friend told me about it. I liked the concept of individual supervision and the blood test.
How did you find the programme?
After a week, I was 3.4Kg lighter and was able to sleep through the night. My goal was a very incredulous 12 kg. But, in reality, it turned out to be 23 kg! I reached my new weight in October 2011 and I have maintained a dress size of 8 to this day. I look completely different now and many of my customers don't recognise me anymore- very funny!
What is the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance?
I ride my mountain bike regularly with my boyfriend and I am no longer the 'lame duck' who is always trying to catch up. Just recently, I had an analysis at my gym where my biological age was 24!!!
Of course I still have neurodermatitis, but I can handle it much better than before and I now know which foods are right for me.

What made you try Metabolic Balance?
I became aware of the programme through my colleagues at work. I had tried several weight-loss programmes before, but without any long-term success. Metabolic Balance is the first approach where I was able to maintain my weight for a longer period of time.
How did you feel before Metabolic Balance?
Not good. I had joint problems, a racing heartbeat and I was on the verge to diabetes. Furthermore, I was also plagued with allergies.

The individuality of the concept convinced me. The blood analysis and the individually tailored food list were the reasons I trusted the programme from the start.
How did you find the programme?
At the beginning, I had cravings for sweet things that I would never usually eat. This only lasted for a few days. Otherwise I had no problems at all. It was great to see how big the portions actually were and you do not actually feel hungry, despite the fact you are losing weight. At first, I had some trouble keeping to the 5 hour break without eating, but I got used to it very quickly.
What is the biggest change since starting Metabolic Balance?
My allergies improved a lot. They are not completely gone yet, but I don't need antihistamines any more. Also, I can finally maintain my weight. That is the greatest achievement. After countless unsuccessful diets, this is really a gift.
