Is there any scientific evidence on the effectiveness of Metabolic Balance?

How does the programme work?

You will be fully supported throughout the four phases of Metabolic Balance. In your initial consultation, your coach will outline the programme and go through your current health status and goals. Arrangements will be made for your blood samples to be taken. Results, of which will be taken together with your body analysis, current health conditions, medications and any dietary restrictions.

Is this another diet where I'll regain my weight?

Metabolic Balance is not a diet in the traditional sense, but a proven method for people to learn how to eat well for them. Traditional diets tend to lead to the yo-yo effect because of the severe restrictions on calories, fats, or carbohydrates, which in turn quickly leads to food cravings. This doesn't happen with Metabolic balance. Your plan is your plan. It only takes your laboratory values, your metabolism and your individual nutritional situation into account and provides you with all the necessary calories, protein, fat and carbohydrates. You will learn which foods are good for you and which are not. It is up to you whether you achieve your health goal and whether you continue to implement the knowledge you have learned leading to long term success. However, your individual nutritional plan is your very personal road map for lasting success.

How long is the programme?

Each phase is unique and important. You start with phase 1, which lasts two days and is the preparation for metabolism changes. Phase 2, lasts for 14 days and is the strict adjustment phase, detailed precisely in the plan and guided by your coach. Phase 3, is much more flexible and a wider variety of food can be enjoyed. The programme culminates in Phase 4, called the maintenance phase which really is embracing a healthy new lifestyle acquired by improved hormonal function and metabolic adjustment

How long will Kat support me?

You've got access to me for 6 sessions and via chat for 12 weeks.  If you need more accountability or check in sessions over over this time to make you successful, then you'll have them for no extra fee.  I'll also be checking in on your weight loss and measurements via the app that will come with your gift of biometric scales. Your success is my success. I am here for you.  I keep the support as part of the initial package strictly at 12 weeks, as experience tells me this will add to your motivation with the programme.  A monthly coaching fee of £47 is applied after the 12 weeks to ensure you stay successful and meet your weight loss and health goals.

How much weight am I likely to lose?

If you stick to the programme, you can expect to lose 6 - 12 kg safely over the course of the 12 weeks. If your weight is slow to come off, regular check ins with your coach will help you identify and overcome any barriers.

Can I do Metabolic Balance if I do not want to lose weight?

I'm on road all day, can I still participate?

Your meal plan offers variety and the flexibility to allow success of your programme whatever your circumstances or challenges (within reason). A little forward planning and organisation will ensure that you can plan is well managed. Your metabolic balance Coach will support you with creative tips, tricks and ideas.

Will I be hungry or unproductive?

Following the plan is a lifestyle change, mindfully and with enjoyment. At the end of every meal, you will be nicely full due to the high-energy foods eaten three times a day. You will not be starving! In between meals you drink the right amount of water calculated for you and so you will be feeling clear headed and focused. Many participants report that they start to feel the best they've felt in years.

I'm vegetarian or vegan, can I still take part?

Vegetarian plans may be generated for those who eat dairy and eggs. Metabolic Balance is not designed to support Vegans.

Is the programme endorsed by any celebrities?

While Metabolic Balance is available to everyone, celebrities such as James Corden, Kirsty Alsop, Boy George and Sam Smith have all been featured in media endorsing Metabolic Balance as the programme that finally helped them shift their weight. What do the blood tests measure and what does it mean?

36 blood markers representing the following metabolic systems are measured as part of the programme.  

Inflammation, Liver function, Blood Glucose, Pancreatic Function, Full blood count, Kidney Function, Cholesterol, Bone health, Thyroid Function and Iron levels.

I don't live in London or the UK, am I still able to do the programme?

Yes, Metabolic Balance is available worldwide.  Chat to me and we will find the best way for you to have your blood tested. I work online, so your support sessions can be schedule in your time zone at a convenient time for you. 

How much does Metabolic Balance cost and how can I purchase it?

This highly effective nutrition programme is only £112.50 per week over 12 weeks, paid in advance or in three payments (contact Kat to arrange). I've heard working on my mindset helps with success, does Kat offer this service?

Yes, Kat is trained in EFT - Emotional Freedom Technique or tapping.  This is a highly effective evidence-based psychotherapy is incredible at overcoming limiting beliefs and cravings along your weight loss journey - read more HERE. A pack of three sessions is available for an additional £297 with any Metabolic Balance plan.

I'm interested in testing my hormones, gut health or for allergies, are these services available?

Yes, as a registered naturopath, Kat is experienced in functional medicine testing, including world-class allergy, hormone and gut microbiome investigations. Your Metabolic Balance programme includes testing for 36 metabolic markers, and any additional functional medicine tests that you would like to do will incur additional fees. I would always suggest not to do any additional testing as many complaints will clear up just by following Metabolic Balance.  If after 8 weeks, symptoms remain, then I would recommend functional medicine tests. 

Can my partner do the plan with me?

Yes, couples are encouraged to do Metabolic Balance together. The food plans generated do have a wide variety of foods on them and with a little bit of planning, it can be easily managed.  If you share the support sessions which are held during business hours (M-F), you can save £500 on a couple's plan.  

I'm interested! How soon can I start?

After purchasing Metabolic Balance, your plan is usually developed within 3-5 days of doing your blood tests.  Careful planning of when to start should be considered for optimal success and this will be discussed in detail with Kat at your first session when she presents your plan to you. Note that the first phase involves a digestive cleanse and it is advised to stay home during this time. You are resetting your basal metabolic rate (the minimum amount of energy your body needs to function) for 14 days in the second phase. It is advisable not to commit to any social activities that revolve around food during Phase 1 & 2. Phase 3 allows a treat meal once a week and exercise can be resumed, and is encouraged.
